Fire Suppression

From residential and commercial structure fires to those caused by vehicle accidents and severe weather, our fire department responds to approximately 50 fires per year. Though each fire is different, our goal is the same for everyone: save people and protect property.

Vehicle Accidents

We are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of motorists traveling in an area covering 19 square miles. At our busiest intersections, more than 31,000 cars travel through Powdersville, which creates more calls related to vehicle accidents than anything else we respond to.

Medical Services

We respond to more than 100 calls a year related to cardiac events, lifting assistance, and patients not breathing. Though Powdersville is primarily serviced by the Pelzer Rescue Squad, who has been serving Anderson County since 1966, our Firefighters provide medical services on a routine basis.
